Longing for Hajj and Preparing Early for it – II

How does man show his longing for Allaah The Exalted and for His House, and not think that there is no obstacle that may prevent him from reaching this House that Allaah The Almighty cannot remove? Or that any impediments will be lifted from his way by Allaah The Generous and The Omnipotent? Or that Allaah The Almighty will eliminate these obstacles and hardships, and that all of a sudden, he will find himself in the sanctuary, in the House of Allaah The Almighty?

Has one prepared for, reflected upon and longed for that? Were the feelings of longing and yearning for the House of Allaah The Almighty evoked in them? Did they feel sadness and regret for the good deeds they missed and the great scenes which are the causes for gaining forgiveness for the great sins, as the Prophet, , said?Or are they still heedless about these meanings and far removed from them, and they cannot imagine that they can happen to them or that they may be led to them so they did not engage in visualizing them from the very beginning and did not think of them in the first place? This is not appropriate for people of faith. What is appropriate for them is longing for His House, which is the evidence of longing and yearning to Allaah The Almighty. That is why Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security.} [Quran 2:125] This means that people long for it and yearn for it; they go there and they come back thinking that they have not yet fully accomplished their desire and objective from going there, and that they still need to go there again and again! In other words, they perform Hajj time after time or perform ‘Umrah one time after the other, and still their yearning to this House increases. They never think that they no longer need it and that they have had their share of it. Rather, their yearning for it is intense more than ever, and their longing for it is overwhelming. Whenever they return from it, they long for it again. (more…)

Longing for Hajj and Preparing Early for it – I

The preparation for Hajj is among the important issues linked to Ramadhaan. We should make an early start in order to get ready for it so that Allaah The Almighty may guide us to perform Hajj to His Sacred House. Just as one should get ready for Ramadhaan in order to attain the mercy and forgiveness of Allaah

The Exalted and to be saved from Hell in this great season of forgiveness, one should start preparing for Hajj well in advance as well. If one does not start preparing early, then even if Allaah The Almighty decrees Hajj for him, his Hajj may not be Hajj Mabroor (an accepted Hajj) which is not equaled to anything upon which the sun rises as mentioned in a narration from the traditions of the Prophet, .

What Islam offers the Earth?

One of the amazing things that strike the reader of the Quran is its significant and multifaceted emphasis on the relationship of man to the environment. This is not merely about self, family and surroundings. It’s about the whole universe—heavens and earth—and all of Allaah’s magnificent creation in them. I’m talking about all the constituents of what some call “nature,” and down to the details: It’s geological foundations, waters, steady and violent shifts and movements, and its countless, varied forms of life and existence, and how it cycles and sustains them.

I know many scientists whom the Quran simply over-awed once they realized what it says about life, nature, and the universe. They were seized by the literally hundreds of Quranic verses that discuss and give guidance about the issues of the environment—all the ones we are suddenly talking about today, and plenty more that haven’t even come into view yet. What grabbed them was the realization that Allaah Almighty clearly knew how abusive unguided man would be to his planetary home.

Muhammad (S.A.W): A Mercy for Mankind

To all my Muslim friends, As Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu. And to all my non-Muslim friends, simple English translation would be “May the Peace, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah be upon you.” I am deeply saddened to hear about the incidents that are happening all over the world regarding the issues between Muslims and non-Muslims. And only recently, has this so-called movie “Innocence of Muslims” shown up at the top of the list.
To all my non-Muslim friends, especially the Americans

, I am truly sorry for your recent loss. I want you to know that you have our sincerest condolences. And as for this so called movie that claims to expose the nature of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W), I want you all to know that this is nothing more than a great blasphemy against our beloved Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and what we Muslims believe in! For those who are sensible enough, I think they will get the point.
As for those who do not, those who made this ridiculous video and those who back the person who made this video by saying that he’s only practicing his right of freedom of speech, let me tell you this:

The Prophet Muhammad taught love, kindness and compassion to his people, and was seen to be the most loving, kind, and compassionate of all of them. The Quran mentions his kind and gentle behavior in these words: “O Messenger of Allah! It is a great Mercy of God that you are gentle and kind towards them; for, had you been harsh and hard-hearted, they would all have broken away from you” (Quran 3:159).

There are many instances that show his kindness and gentleness, especially to the weak and the poor. Anas, who was his helper, said: “I served Allah’s Messenger for ten years and he never said to me, ‘Shame’ or ‘Why did you do such-and-such a thing?’ or ‘Why did you not do such-and-such a thing?'” (Bukhari, 2038).
